Entering a contest

I turned in this assignment for my Photoshop class and as the teacher was critiquing it on her wall-sized screen in front of the class, she suggested that I enter it into the school art show.

That felt like a huge compliment and also an opportuity. So, I had it printed, found a nice frame (which was on sale) and it's now ready to deliver to the head of the art department for submission.

The assignment was to create a "fantasy landscape." I must admit, it was SO COOL to see what everyone came up with. There were flying cars and underwater cities and amazing castles! (who says digital art can't be imaginative?)

I hope you can see all the details in this image. There is a sea turtle in the water, some ducks in the distance on the pond and even some little finches in the flowering cherry tree. If you would like, you can click HERE to view a larger image file. This is a large file, so it may take a while to load the image.

I hope you like it! (And, I'll let you know how it does in the show, if it is one of the pieces chosen for display.)
